Harmonizing Evolutionary Convergence

Glossary menus

ne-

PIE base ‘not’, root of prefix un- in Old English and German, in- in Latin, and a-, an- in Greek and Sanskrit. See also *ant-, root of un-, as in ‘undo’, indicating reversal or removal.

Other derivatives include negate, neglect, nothing, neuter, never, null, annul, deny, annihilate, renegade, negligee, naughty, nice, originally ‘ignorant, foolish, silly, senseless’, cognate with science.

[Pokorny *nĕ-1, nē, nei, pp. 756–758.]

undividual

As all the divergent streams of 13.8 billion years of evolution converge in indivisible Wholeness, at evolution’s glorious culmination, one of the greatest challenges is to find words that denote this unprecedented happening within apparently separate human beings who are living in Peace in the Eternal Now at the end of time.

anomaly

In science, an anomaly is generally regarded as a phenomenon that cannot be explained in terms of the laws of science established during the past few centuries, such as unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and paranormal experiences, such as extrasensory perception (ESP).

anomalous

It is a paradox that an anomalous life experience that brings universal order to the world of learning should derive from a Greek word meaning ‘uneven, unequal, irregular’, literally ‘not the same; not united’, from PIE bases meaning ‘not one, not together with’.

unanswered questions

One purpose of science is to answer questions to solve practical problems. Of course, in Reality, there are no unanswered questions or unsolved problems because these duals are never separate from each other in indivisible Wholeness.

unconscious

Since Freud popularized the term unconscious and Jung extended it into the collective, some have been aware that much human behaviour is caused by processes in the psyche of which we are unaware, both experientially and cognitively.
