In Panosophy, an existential threat is anything that an individual feels endangers their personal sense of identity. Panosophy, as the elusive Theory of Everything, can feel like an existential threat to many because it is transcultural and transdisciplinary, realized through an awakening death-and-rebirth process.

Scientifically, the Unified Relationships Theory can feel threatening because Imre Lakatos said that scientific projects contain a ‘hard core’ that cannot be questioned. Anyone doing so would be ostracized by the scientific community.

If we are to manage our business, political, economic, academic, and medical affairs with full awareness of what we are doing, we need to view the way that we organize society through the meaningful modelling methods of information systems architects, rather than the financial modelling methods of quantitative economists, investment bankers, and management accountants.

Although existential has been in use since the late 1600s and has been associated with the philosophy of existentialism since the mid 1900s, it has come to the general populace’s attention in recent years through the term existential crisis, which on 27th January 2023 returned over five million results on a Google search, with existential threat returning nearly four million. The word existential is also being used in association with several other words, such as risk, intelligence, and health.

To develop a system of governance that gives everyone the opportunity to realize their fullest potential as humans, we need to go back to the PIE roots of system and learn to ‘stand together’ with a common purpose. In this way, we could cocreate an organized whole, able to see the whole of creation, the meaning of system when it entered the English language in 1619, the same year in which Johannes Kepler’s magnificent The Harmony of the World was published.

The Totality of Existence (TOE) is all there is, consisting of all beings that exist in the manifest world of form plus the Supreme Being, as the Formless Absolute.
